Nail Art with Ever After Polish and Bundle Monster!

Happy Friday! Today, I actually have some nail art to share with you! Since I haven't been changing my polish every single day, I figured that it would be worth my while to get back into stamping and nail art; so, here is my first post back into designs!

For the base of this mani, I began with Ever After Polish Orange Mocha Frappacino:

Collection: Ever After Polish February 2016 Barista's Brew Subscription Box

Color/Finish: Orange Mocha Frappacino is a nude linear holo with orange microglitter and a hidden pink flash.

Formula/Application: Orange Mocha Frappacino applied smoothly and evenly! The first coat was a bit thin, but the second built up nicely. It dried smooth and shiny, and dy time between coats was about 1.5 minutes. Shown are two coats plus glossy top coat, under a daylight bulb.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts! This is probably one of my new favorite neutrals! I love a good palette cleanser every once in a while, and Orange Mocha Frappe does the trick!

Availability: Ever After Polish Orange Mocha Frappacino was exclusive to the Barista's Brew box, and it is no longer currently available in the shop. 

And now for the stamping! 

For this, I chose a portion of an image from Bundle Monster BM-719, from the Secret Garden collection of plates. I used black Konad polish and my clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store to stamp this image; everything is sealed in with another layer of glossy top coat! 

I am so in love with how this came out! I've already been wearing it for two days, and plan on having it on for about another two; I think that that may be a record for me!

Ever After Polish Mrs. Robinson: Swatch and Review

I feel like it has been a bit since I've posted! Sorry; I'm baaaack! Today, I have a bright, summer color from Ever After to share with you!

This shade is named Mrs. Robinson. Mrs. Robinson was a color that Rachel created for The Indie Shop, which was an indie nail polish event that was held in California in May. Well, afterwards, she made some of the bottles available for purchase through the website, and you know that I had to pick it up! Mrs. Robinson is a bright neon pink with a golden shimmer. The shimmer is a bit shy in pictures, but is definitely apparent in person! 

 

The formula on Mrs. Robinson was absolutely smooth and wonderful, as are all of the Ever Afters that I own! I was able to reach full opacity in two coats of medium thickness. Because of the neon nature of the polish, it dried down a bit matte; because of this, I added glossy topcoat for extra shine, and to bring out that gorgeous golden shimmer! Shown in my pictures are two coats, plus one layer of glossy top coat; these were taken under a daylight bulb.

I also thought that this would be the perfect base for some stamping! One of my favorite color combos is neon pink (okay, any neon color) and black. For this I chose an image from Bundle Monster's BM-716, from the Secret Garden Collection of plates, and stamped using black Konad polish and my clear stamper from Born Pretty Store. Everything is sealed in with another layer of glossy top coat!

Nail Art with Carpe Noctem Cosmetics and Bundle Monster

Today, I have stamping for you! Plus some holo, because, well...HOLO! 

I planned this look around my desire to use one of my new polishes from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics, named Potato Queen. Potato Queen was a part of the Inspiration Collection, which Emily created using some amazing nail bloggers as inspiration! 

Potato Queen is a magenta holographic with additional larger glitters. The formula on this baby was like actual butter: SO smooth, remained where I put it, and quick to dry! She dried extremely glossy, but I still used one layer of top coat, to preserve it for the day (because let's be honest, when do I go more than a day without changing my polish??)

I applied Potato Queen on my pinky, ring finger, and thumb, and decided to stamp on my middle and index finger. For this design, I started with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Then I chose an image from Bundle Monster BM-S105, one of the plates from the Shangri-La Collection. I used my clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store for exact placement, and stamped using black Konad polish. Everything is sealed in with top coat! 

I am so extremely happy with how this turned out! A bright color with a black and white accent is quickly becoming one of my favorite looks to wear.

Manicure Monday: Nail Art Using China Glaze Electric Nights Collection and Uber Chic Stamping Plates

Happy Manicure Monday! I have some nail art for you today! I had created this mani back in the summer, and decided that I wanted to re-create it. Here are the materials that I had to gather, before I began: 

 

In order to begin this mani, I started with two coats of a plain white creme polish. My white of choice was Sally Hansen Insta-Dri 'Tag, Ur It!' This was released in Summer 2015, and it is one of my favorite whites-- It is opaque in two coats, and it dries quickly! 

After applying two coats of white, I topped it with one coat of quick-dry top coat, and let it dry for about 15 minutes. Then, I did a gradient with three colors from the China Glaze Summer 2015 Electric Nights Collection: Red-y to Rave, Home Sweet House Music, and Daisy Know My Name?. The Electric Nights collection is one of my favorites from China Glaze, and each color is bright, neon, and gorgeous. I only needed two passes of the cosmetic sponge over each nail for my desired opacity for this gradient! After clean up, I sealed and smoothed the gradient with another layer of top coat.

Next, I chose an image from an Uber Chic stamping plate, and stamped it with my favorite double-sided stamper from Bundle Monster. The plate that I chose was plate 1-01; I stamped using black Konad polish. I then sealed in the design with a final layer of glossy top coat. Here is the finished product!

And a macro! 

I absolutely love the contrast between the neons and the black stamping, and am so happy with how these came out!

Nail Art using Zoya Willa, Orly Mirrorball, and M Polish To Have and To Holo

Happy Monday! It's another snowy day here...surprise, surprise! Today, I have some nail art for you!

I knew that I wanted to do something with black and either silver or holo. My go-to black creme is Zoya's Willa...it is an amazing black that is creamy and opaque in one-and-a-half to two coats. I am always a sucker for Zoya's formulas!

For my ring finger and pinky, I chose Orly Mirrorball. Mirrorball is a white-silver linear holo with added holo glitter. It is one of the best (and almost one of the only) mainstream linear holos that I have encountered, except for the rare ones released by OPI. This baby was opaque in two coats!

For the stamping, I used a silver holo polish from an indie brand called M Polish, and the color is named To Have and To Holo. I used a plate from Born Pretty Store, BP-25, and applied it with a stamper from Bundle Monster. Now, when I first got THATH, I tried to use it along with a squishy stamper head. When that did not work, I got a tip from some other ladies in a polish group on Facebook that it would work better with a firmer stamping head. Lo and behold, I used the other side of my Bundle Monster stamper, and it worked like a dream! The stamper comes with both a soft and a firmer head, so you can choose which one you like better; you can find it right here!

I just get so excited when I have a design in mind, and it comes out exactly how I envisioned!
