Hey, hey!! I'm here today to share with you one of the group customs that was created for my Facebook group Holo-Maniacs for the month of March! This beauty was created by Kayla of Creative Cuticles Nail Polish, and it is absolutely gorgeous! 

Creative Cuticles Nail Polish Holo-Maniacs Custom #18 is described as a dusty brown holographic polish. I was able to get it opaque in three thin coats; the dry time was great, and it dried glossy. Shown is with one layer of glossy top coat; pictures were taken under an artificial daylight lightbulb!

There is also another custom for the group this month, which was created by Simone of Ms. Sparkle Nail Polish. Ms. Sparkle is a Dutch brand, but she does ship overseas! I do not yet have her beautiful creation in hand, but there are swatches and details of her polish in the group; it is green!! This custom is also available throughout the entire month of March.

Dreamland Lacquer Sassenach: Swatch and Review

Happy New Year to you!! It's a time to start anew, and to make the world your own! I, personally, am ready to make the most of everyday, no matter what it takes. Do you have any resolutions? 

Today, I am sharing a color from Dreamland Lacquer that I picked up during their Black Friday sale. Noelie has so many beautiful colors and finishes, and it was difficult to make a decision; so, I picked out three different polishes! The one that I have to share with you today is named Sassenach. 

Sassenach is described on the Dreamland Lacquer website as a dark brown linear holographic. The formula on Sassenach was smooth and buttery, and it applied evenly and dried quickly. I was able to get it opaque in two coats, and the final product did benefit from one layer of glossy top coat. My pictures were taken under an artificial daylight bulb. 

The holo flame on Sassenach is absolutely stunning, and I actually kept this on for about four days, with very minimal chipping when I removed it!

Today, I'm sharing a Cupcake Polish with you that put me on Cloud Nine! I didn't think that I would have been able to get my hands on this, but I was lucky enough to hit up a destash at JUST the right time, and was able to purchase it! This is Double Chocolate Cupcake! 

Collection: May 2016 For the Love of Polish box

Color/Finish: Double Chocolate Cupcake is a bronzy brown linear holographic with a hidden pink shimmer.

Formula/Application: This was a dream to apply, and I was able to get it opaque in two medium coats! It did dry a bit dull, but one layer of glossy top coat shined it right up, and brought out the holo and the shimmer. My pictures were taken under a daylight bulb.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts! Double Chocolate Cupcake is such a unique brown to my polish collection! I actually tried to create a dupe with layering, but the golden tones to this make it super unique. I am in love!

Availability: Cupcake Polish Double Chocolate Cupcake is no longer available for direct purchase, but there may possibly be some floating around in destashes. If you are interested, I definitely recommend going on a hunt for it!

Different Dimension Retrograde: Swatch and Review

Hey, hey, hey!  I have an absolute stunner of a polish to share with you today! This beauty is from Different Dimension, and it was a part of Missi's Cosmologically Speaking Part 2 Collection; it is named Retrograde. 

Retrograde is described as "an intense brown holographic polish with added flakies, shimmer, and holo microglitters." I've been drawn to more unique shades lately, and Retrograde is brown, but also leans a bit green in some lights. That may just be the holo playing tricks on my eyes, but it's how I saw it! 

 

 The formula on Retrograde applied smoothly and evenly, and it had a wonderful dry time. I was able to get it opaque in two coats, but I had also just trimmed my nails; so, if your nails are a bit longer, you may need three, depending on your desired level of opacity. Shown are those two coats, plus one layer of glossy topcoat, under a daylight bulb.

 The holo on this baby is super intense, which you all know that I love! The added microglitters give some extra oomph, which I am coming to love from Missi's polishes!
