Ever After Winter is Coming: Swatch and Nail Art with Cici & Sisi and Hit the Bottle Polishes

Hi, everyone!

I have a swatch and some accompanying nail art for you today! The color that I have for you is called "Winter is Coming," and it is a single batch pour polish that Rachel created.

Winter is coming is a pale lilac linear holographic with added scattered holographic glitter. It may appear white at first glance, but it is actually purple!

I was able to get Winter is Coming opaque in three thin coats. Shown in my swatch are those three coats, plus one coat of NYC Grand Central Station.

 

 

I also thought that this polish would be a great base for some Single's Awareness...I mean, Valentine's Day, nail art! The image that I chose came from Cici & Sisi 09, and I stamped it with Purple Reign from Hit the Bottle Polishes. The design is sealed in with another coat of NYC Grand Central Station.

Literary Lacquers Rebecca, Always Rebecca: Swatch and Review

Hey! Today I have a polish from Literary Lacquers, named "Rebecca, Always Rebecca." My mom had won this polish in a giveaway a while ago, and I re-discovered it in her stash tonight, and I knew that I had to use it! Funnily enough, I almost purchased it in the Literary Lacquers shop a while ago...good thing I was on a no-buy at the moment! 

Rebecca, Always Rebecca was a part of the Rebecca Collection released in Fall 2014. It is an eggplant purple linear holographic with even MORE holo glitter added to it. In other words, it is sparkle and holo to the max! 

I was able to get Rebecca, Always Rebecca opaque in two coats. Dry time between coats was wonderful, about 2-3 minutes, and it dried smooth. Shown in my swatch are two coats plus one coat of NYC Grand Central Station.

My Favorite Cuticle and Hand Care Items: Sunny's Body Products and Ever After Bath and Body Products

Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I want to tell you about some of my favorite products for cuticle care and hand care. While this is not everything that I use, they are the products that I use most frequently.

My love for cuticle and hand care began with Sunny's Body Products, after I won a couple of her products from a Twitter chat. I quickly became addicted to them, and amassed a rather large collection. Sunny (which is her nickname; her real name is Sanaz) has numerous products available in her shop, and she has a spreadsheet of scents that you can choose from; there are SO MANY! Florals, fruity, masculine, seasonal, and my favorite, food-related. Her shop is accessible here, and the spreadsheet of scents is available here.

Sunny offers two different types of cuticle oil: An Intensive Cuticle Therapy, and a regular Cuticle Oil. The Intensive Therapy changes your cuticles almost instantly, and it is packed with loads of healing oils that hydrate and heal. This oil comes with a dropper applicator. The regular Cuticle Oil is divine, and it comes in a rollerball applicator.

Another of my favorite products from Sunny is her Hand Butter. This is also packed with lots of moisturizing oils, and it feels amazing. A little bit goes a long way when applying it to your hands, and the moisture that it delivers lasts a long time! Hand Butter is also available in all of the scents that Sunny offers!

The last item from Sunny's Body Products that I have to share with you is her On the Go Hand Lotion. This lotion is light and moisturizing, and it soaks in almost instantly, so you aren't left with greasy hands! This lotion can be made in any of the scents that Sunny offers, as well.

In addition to Sunny's Body Products, I have also recently fallen in love with some of the products that are made by Miranda, the bath and body care genius of Ever After!

Miranda has recently developed a product called Cuticle Crelly, a light, moisturizing cuticle cream that soaks in quickly and leaves soft, smooth, and moisturized cuticles. You can get sampler packs of Cuticle Crelly, if you want to try out different scents, or you can buy larger containers of it. You can see all of the different available scents in the pull-down bar right here!

Finally, I have Ever After's mani fizzies! These are perfect to use when you want to pamper your hands and soften your skin; all you need to do is drop them in a bowl of warm to hot water, let them fizz up, and soak your hands for about 15 minutes. After you're finished, rinse your hands with water and pat them dry, and they will be smooth and moisturized! Ever After Pole Dancing: Swatch and Review

Hey there! For you today, I have another color from Ever After Polish, called Pole Dancing. Rachel sent me a mini bottle of this as part of a prize pack when I won a game of bingo in the brand's fan group. Pole Dancing is from the I've Got the Magic in Me collection (Summer 2015), and it is a blue-gray linear holographic with teal/turquoise shimmer. I am so in love with holo/shimmer combinations lately! Shown are two buttery coats of Pole Dancing, plus one coat of NYC Grand Central Station.

Color Club Harp on It and Pueen Cosmetics Stamping

Hi, there! Today, I have a gorgeous silver holographic and some stamping for you! This is one of my favorite stamping manis that I have done. To start this mani, I polished two coats of Color Club 'Harp On It,' from their Halo Hues collection. Halo Hues have been released in several collections, and they are gorgeous, strong linear holographics. You can find them on Color Club's website here, as well as from Amazon. This is two coats of 'Harp On It,' plus one layer of top coat.

This beauty didn't need any sprucing up, but I decided to add some stamping to it! I chose an image from Pueen Cosmetic's PUEEN46 from the Love Elements set, and stamped using black Konad polish. The design is sealed in with another layer of top coat!

There you go! I absolutely love how this design came out, and I never thought that I would be one to stamp on top of a holo.

Ever After Polish Unicorn Appoved 2: Swatch and Review

Hey there! I have another stunner from Ever After Polish for you today! This polish is named 'Unicorn Approved 2,' and it began as a customer custom, and it eventually became so loved that Rachel spoke with the customer, and it was available for purchase! You may know the person of whom I am speaking, if you follow many nail accounts on social media; her name is Michelle, and she is an amazing swatcher and nail artist! When I saw Michelle's swatch of 'Unicorn Approved 2,' I knew that I needed a bottle of it in my life.

'Unicorn Approved 2' is a dusty blue crelly packed with multichrome flakies and holographic shimmer. It is so multidimensional, and it looks absolutely gorgeous at any angle.

Application of this polish was a breeze, and I was able to get it opaque in 2 coats. Dry time was wonderful; I waited about 2 minutes between coats. Shown are two coats, plus one layer of NYC Grand Central Station.

I am a sucker for any polish that contains flakies, and every polish that I have from Ever After that contains them are some of my favorites. Add some shimmer and holo to it, and I am a happy, happy polish addict.

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics: Because She Danced to Space Jam

I tried a new-to-me indie, Carpe Noctem Cosmetics, and I must say....I am in love. Like, love-love! I had always adored Emily's creations from afar, but finally dove in and bought a couple of her polishes. I have one to share with you today! This is 'Because She Danced to Space Jam,' one of the colors from Emily's newest collection, the Inspiration Collection. This collection is based off of CNC's fans, and it is made up of 7 gorgeous, original colors.

'Because She Danced to Space Jam' is a navy linear holographic, with shimmer and flakies mixed in. It is so multi-dimensional, and absolutely breathtaking. I used two coats for full opacity, but I think that you *may* be able to get away with one thick coat! The formula was smooth and easy to control.
