Great Lakes Lacquer It's Treasure, Savvy? : Swatch and Review

Great Lakes Lacquer It's Treasure, Savvy? : Swatch and Review

*Purchased by Me*

Happy humpday! I've only had one day of work so far this week, and I'm already tired..ahh, the perils of coming back from a long weekend! But, I received this polish in the mail yesterday, and I was instantly perked up. I usually wait a bit before posting about a new polish that I receive, but this one is time sensitive, so I wanted to share it now!

It's Treasure, Savvy? is a polish created by Mariah of Great Lakes Lacquer. It was a custom that was created for the amazing Savannah of Addicted to Polish (check out her blog right here!), and so many people fell in love with it, it was made available for purchase. This baby is only available until THIS THURSDAY, July 7th! Let's take a look, shall we?

Collection: Custom polish created for Savannah of Addicted to Polish
Color/Finish: Described by Great Lakes Lacquer as an olive green linear holographic polish with a copious amount of multichrome flake that shifts from bronze to gold to green
Formula/Application:It's Treasure, Savvy? had such an amazing formula!! Seriously, I think I had some heavy breathing going on when I was applying it! It was so smooth and easy to apply, and was almost opaque in ONE COAT! I did do two coats for good measure, and it did deepen the color a bit, as well as add some more dimension with the holo and flakies. Dry time between coats was great, about 2-3 minutes. It dried glossy, but my pictures are shown with one layer of glossy top coat. All pictures were taken under a daylight bulb.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts! I don't have many olive greens in my collection, so this color is definitely a win for me. Combined with the holo, flakies, and amazing formula, I am now a bit obsessed with this polish!
Availability: Great Lakes Lacquer It's Treasure, Savvy? is currently available in the shop, and will be available only for 2 more days, until Thursday, July 7th! It costs $11.00 for a 15 mL bottle, and you can find the listing for it right here! Thank you again to Mariah and Savannah for allowing this to be made available to the public!

Leopard Skittlette using Ever After Customs, OPI, and Zoya

*Purchased by Me*
*Borrowed from Someone Else*

Happy Saturday, and I hope you're having a great one so far! I feel like time is going by so fast, and can't believe that March is almost over!

For you today, I have some skittlette nail art! For this design, I used my basic black, Zoya Willa, and basic white, OPI Alpine Snow. For my holos/indies, I used two customs that were created by Rachel of Ever After. Let's take a look!

The fist Ever After custom is one that I purchased from someone who was destashing. It is a red holo, and it comes from a collection that was based off of characters from Pretty Little Liars. This color is named -A, and it is based off of, well...A! It is opaque in two coats.

The next custom is one that my mother had made, named Luna's Stardust. This is a black linear holo with silver flakies! It is opaque in two coats.

To make the leopard print design for my mani, I used a cuticle stick that I had on hand, which has one pointed end and one flat end. I used the flat end to make red spots using -A, over Alpine Snow, and the pointed end to make small lines and dots, using Willa. Everything is sealed in with top coat. Here's the final look!

Leopard print was one of the first types of nail art that I ever did, and it always holds a special place in my heart! What is one (or more) of your favorite nail art designs? Let me know below!

Ever After Polish Unicorn Appoved 2: Swatch and Review

Hey there! I have another stunner from Ever After Polish for you today! This polish is named 'Unicorn Approved 2,' and it began as a customer custom, and it eventually became so loved that Rachel spoke with the customer, and it was available for purchase! You may know the person of whom I am speaking, if you follow many nail accounts on social media; her name is Michelle, and she is an amazing swatcher and nail artist! You can check her out in Instagram, here.

When I saw Michelle's swatch of 'Unicorn Approved 2,' I knew that I needed a bottle of it in my life.

Ever After Polish 'Unicorn Approved 2'

'Unicorn Approved 2' is a dusty blue crelly packed with multichrome flakies and holographic shimmer. It is so multidimensional, and it looks absolutely gorgeous at any angle.

Application of this polish was a breeze, and I was able to get it opaque in 2 coats. Dry time was wonderful; I waited about 2 minutes between coats. Shown are two coats, plus one layer of NYC Grand Central Station.

You can really see all of the flakies and the shimmer in a macro shot!

I am a sucker for any polish that contains flakies, and every polish that I have from Ever After that contains them are some of my favorites. Add some shimmer and holo to it, and I am a happy, happy polish addict.

Unicorn Approved 2 is still available in Ever After's shop in limited quantities; it costs $11.00, and  can be found here.

Rachel and Miranda also take custom polish requests, and they are a dream to work with. Custom polishes cost $13.00, and the listing is here.

I adore this polish (the polish and the name!), and I hope that you enjoyed looking/reading about it, and love it yourself, if you decide to pick up a bottle!

Unicorn Approved 2 is....Unicorn approved!
