Happy Saturday!! Today, I am sharing a polish from a brand that I was introduced to at Polish Con in Chicago. This new-to-me brand is Leesha's Lacquer! Alicia is the creative genius behind the brand, and she is a total sweetheart. Her brand began in 2013, and she creates some gorgeous glitters, flakies, jellies, crellies, and thermals; I am always drooling over the swatches that I see! I have some polishes in addition to the one presented in this post, and will have some up in the coming weeks! For now, let's get to today's post! 

The polish that I'm sharing with you is called Fruity O's Cereal. This polish is totally adorable, and it is a white crelly base with multi-colored small glitters scattered throughout. I decided to use a white base in my swatch, in order to make the colors pop! Shown are two coats over two coats of Lou It Yourself's Light Matter; everything is sealed in with one layer of glossy top coat. Fruity O's Cereal applied very smoothly and evenly, and I did not have to fish for any glitter, nor did I have to overly-manipulate their placement.

Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker: Swatch and Review

Hello, Sunday! You know what that means--Monday is here tomorrow! Ew. 

Tonight, I'm sharing a polish from Pretty & Polished with you! This polish is named Jawbreaker. For the remainder of this month (until June 30th, 2016), Chelsea of Pretty & Polished is donating the proceeds of Jawbreaker sales to those families who were affected by the Pulse shooting in Orlando. (And of course, I couldn't let my bottle travel alone, so I will have some more P&P colors coming up soon ;) )

Collection: Core Collection
Color/Finish: Described on the Pretty & Polished site as a white base splattered with the best original jawbreaker colors! This polish has a white base that can become opaque with just two nice layers. Packed with blue, green, yellow, red, and purple glitters in all different shapes and sizes.
Formula/Application: Jawbreaker had the smoothest and easiest formula! I applied two layers over one layer of a white creme polish, and it was a dream to work with. I did not have to fish for any glitter whatsoever, and the layers dried quickly, about 2 minutes in between each. Because of the glitters, it dried a bit bumpy, but smoothed right out with a thick layer of topcoat! Even though I layered it, Jawbreaker is more than capable of being opaque on its own, in 2-3 coats.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 hearts! This polish is so smooth and easy to apply, and the final effect is absolutely adorable. I think that I'm going to find myself reaching for this baby on a frequent basis!

Pretty & Polished Meet Me at the Fishing Hole: Swatch and Review

Today, I'm sharing a beauty from a brand named Pretty & Polished with you! Pretty & Polished is a brand based out of Indiana, and it is run by an amazing maker named Chelsea; I've also seen her husband behind the scenes, and he is usually active in the Facebook fan group as well. Chelsea is such a sweetheart, and I know that she loves her brand AND adores her customers! 

I was browsing the site, looking for a couple of things to pick up. I already own lots of her amazing Dusty Cremes, which are polishes with a unique "dusty" finish, which is created by tiny grey flecks that are added to the polish; they are so innovative and unique, and I love them! 

One of the polishes that I picked up was named Meet Me at the Fishing Hole. This is a robin's egg blue crelly with green to blue shifting flakies, and it caught my eye right away! If you've been here for a bit, you know my love for anything flakie, and this is no exception! I also picked up another polish of the same finish, but I'll write about that in a different post. 

The application of Meet Me at the Fishing Hole was wonderful. The first coat was a bit thin, which is normal with crelly polishes; however, I was able to build it up to full opacity in three coats. I did not have to fish for any flakies (haha, no pun intended!), and they did not require any manipulation. Dry time between coats was about 1-2 minutes, and it dried down pretty quickly once top coat was added. It dried shiny, but I did add one layer of NYC Grand Central Station for some extra shine and staying power! Shown in my swatches are three coats, plus glossy top coat; these were taken under a daylight bulb.

Hi, there! I feel like I've been slacking a bit with the blog posts lately, but I'm working on having one every day, or every other day at the latest. Today, I am going to share a group custom polish from Ellagee! 

The group custom that Laura created for the Ellagee group is named Burnished Skies. It was actually pictures of the custom that brought me to the group; once I saw it, I absolutely knew that I needed it! Burnished Skies is a turquoise crelly base with bronze, gold, copper, and ultrachrome flakies. 

 The formula on Burnished Skies was an absolute dream to work with! The brush was amazing, and my polishing required barely any clean-up (which is rare for me; I'm a messy polisher!). Dry time was about 1-2 minutes between coats, and it dried shiny. I used three thin coats (s I usually do for crelly polishes) plus one layer of top coat for my swatch, but you may be able to get away with two, depending on how think you like to apply your coats. These were all taken under a daylight bulb!

Ever After Polish Golden Afternoon Collection: Swatches and Review

Happy humpday! I have an entire collection review to share with you today! This is Ever After's Spring 2016 collection, called The Golden Afternoon. The polishes are based off of the Golden Afternoon song from Alice in Wonderland, as well as this painting: 

The Golden Afternoon collection is made up of four polishes. Let's get started, shall we?

Ever After Bread & Butterflies

Bread and Butterflies is described on the Ever After site as a "peachy crelly base with ultra chrome flakes, scattered holo and gold shimmer."

 The formula on Bread & Butterflies was smooth and controllable. It was a bit thin on the first coat, which is the norm for crellies; it was opaque for me in three coats. The thin, buildable layers allow the gorgeous flakies to shine through! Shown in my swatch are three thin coats, plus glossy top coat. 

And here's what it looks like with matte top coat! My matte topcoat of choice is Essie's Matte About You. 

 

Ever After Lazy Dazies

The second polish, Lazy Dazies, is described as a "creamy white base with scattered holo shimmer and gold and platinum silver flakes."

 

 

 Lazy Dazies was also sheer on the first coat, but buildable; I reached full opacity in three coats. Dry time was great, as thin coats tend to dry faster. Shown are three layers, plus glossy top coat!

 Ever After Month of June

Month of June is a polish described as a "sea foam teal crelly with Ultra Chrome multi color flakes, glitter and blue to green shifting shimmer."

I almost got away with using two coats of Month of June for opacity, but I opted for three, to remain consistent with the others in the collection. Dry time was wonderful, and the polish dried smooth. Shown are three coats plus glossy topcoat.

Ever After Don't Wake Me In the Morning Glory

Last but not least is Don't Wake Me In the Morning Glory, a "deep periwinkle/lavender crelly leaning jelly packed with blue micro flakes and a mix of opal and iridescent glitters." 

 

 I was pleasantly surprised with this one! I expected the formula to be streaky, but it was nice and even. While it was thin, it was easily buildable, and I did not need to manipulate the glitter at all! When applied with top coat, this polish looks super squishy! Shown are three thin coats, plus glossy top coat.

So there you have it: The Golden Afternoon Collection from Ever After Polish! These polishes are available in full size individual bottles ($9.50-$10.50), or in a full size collection ($36.00) or a mini collection ($26.00). There are also now floral water decals and earrings available in the shop, and they are priced at $4.00-$5.00 each.

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Beyond the Clouds: Swatch and Review

Helloooo, there! Today, I'm going to share yet another color from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics with you! This neutral beauty is named Beyond the Clouds. 

 

Beyond the Clouds is a neutral/taupe crelly base, packed with pinky-nude shimmer, holographic sparkle, and lots and lots of flakies! This was created by Emily in order to celebrate her two-year shop anniversary. 

With the colors that I own from Emily so far, I have found that they are all complex and beautiful: There are multiple elements that add to the beauty, such as flakies, holo, and shimmer. I am so amazed at how well everything meshes together! 

I was able to get Beyond the Clouds opaque in three thin coats. Like the other CNCs that I own, this dried super glossy by itself; however, I will be showing it to you with one layer of topcoat.
