DIFFERENT dimension Nevermore: Swatch and Review

DIFFERENT dimension Nevermore: Swatch and Review

*Purchased by Me*

Happy Humpday! Today, I have a polish from DIFFERENT dimension to share with you! If you've been around here (or around my Instagram) for a bit, it's no surprise to you how much I adore Missi and her brand. Well, this baby right here is no different! This is Nevermore:

Nevermore was a part of the Poe. collection that was released for Halloween 2016. It is described on the site as a black linear holographic polish with added orange shimmers and orange microglitters. Now, I love black polish in all shapes and sizes. But Missi took that love to another level; the added orange microglitters made this so multidimensional and unique, I didn't take this off for days! I was able to get Nevermore opaque in just two coats; however, because of the added microglitters, it was a tad bit bumpy, requiring two coats of glossy top coat to smooth it out. Other than that, though, there were absolutely no issues with this polish!

DIFFERENT dimension Nevermore is still currently available on the website, and it costs $12.00 for a full-sized 15 mL bottle; you can find the listing for it right here

Holo-Maniacs Group Customs for March 2017: Swatch and Review

*Sent by maker for swatch and review*

Hey, hey!! I'm here today to share with you one of the group customs that was created for my Facebook group Holo-Maniacs for the month of March! This beauty was created by Kayla of Creative Cuticles Nail Polish, and it is absolutely gorgeous!

Creative Cuticles Nail Polish Holo-Maniacs Custom #18 is described as a dusty brown holographic polish. I was able to get it opaque in three thin coats; the dry time was great, and it dried glossy. Shown is with one layer of glossy top coat; pictures were taken under an artificial daylight lightbulb!

CCNP Holo-Maniacs Custom #18 is available through the entire month of March, and you must be a member of the group to be able to purchase it; here is a link to the Facebook page!

Please also be sure to check out Kayla and CCNP on social media!

There is also another custom for the group this month, which was created by Simone of Ms. Sparkle Nail Polish. Ms. Sparkle is a Dutch brand, but she does ship overseas! I do not yet have her beautiful creation in hand, but there are swatches and details of her polish in the group; it is green!! This custom is also available throughout the entire month of March.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you next time!

DIFFERENT dimension International Space Station: Swatch and Review

DIFFERENT dimension International Space Station: Swatch and Review

*Purchased by Me*

Happy Saturday!! I have lots of swatches on my computer to share with you, so I hope that I will be able to write them up in a good amount of time and have them posted! Tonight, I am sharing a polish from DIFFERENT dimension with you, named International Space Station (ISS, for short).

ISS was a part of Missi's Cosmologically Speaking Part 3 collection. It is described on the website as a medium teal with scattered holographic effect. While this beauty is holographic, it is also chock full of flakies, which adds even more dimension! I was able to get it opaque in three thin coats, and it dried quickly and smoothly; shown is with glossy top coat, under a daylight bulb. This was a tiny bit difficult to remove, because of the flakes, but a bit of rubbing with an acetone-soaked piece of craft felt makes it easier!

DIFFERENT dimension's International Space Station (ISS) is still currently available, and it costs $10.00 for a full-sized, 15 mL bottle; you can find the listing for it right here

Please be sure to check out DIFFERENT dimension on social media!

Fair Maiden Polish Little Miss Curious: Swatch and Review

Fair Maiden Polish Little Miss Curious: Swatch and Review

*Received by Maker*

Why, hello there! I know that it's been about a month since I've had a post up; keeping up with writing up posts got away from me for a bit, as a result of working more, but I'm trying to get back into it!

Today, I'm sharing a polish that I received at Polish Con in September as a part of the VIP bag. This beauty is by Fair Maiden Polish, and it is named Little Miss Curious.

Fair Maiden's Little Miss Curious is a slightly teal-leaning blue linear holographic with a stunning pink shimmer. The formula was wonderful and smooth, and dried glossy in a short time period, about 2-3 minutes. Shown are three thin layers, plus glossy top coat, under a daylight bulb.

Little Miss Curious is no longer readily available; however, Sarah and Adrienne did just release their Valentine's Day collection, as well as a custom for my group Holo-Maniacs, and they are all stunning! Be sure to pop on over to their shop to take a look!

You can find Fair Maiden Polish on all of their social media sites listed below:

Dreamland Lacquer Sassenach: Swatch and Review

Dreamland Lacquer Sassenach: Swatch and Review

*Purchased by Me*
Happy New Year to you!! It's a time to start anew, and to make the world your own! I, personally, am ready to make the most of everyday, no matter what it takes. Do you have any resolutions?

Today, I am sharing a color from Dreamland Lacquer that I picked up during their Black Friday sale. Noelie has so many beautiful colors and finishes, and it was difficult to make a decision; so, I picked out three different polishes! The one that I have to share with you today is named Sassenach.

Sassenach is described on the Dreamland Lacquer website as a dark brown linear holographic. The formula on Sassenach was smooth and buttery, and it applied evenly and dried quickly. I was able to get it opaque in two coats, and the final product did benefit from one layer of glossy top coat. My pictures were taken under an artificial daylight bulb.

The holo flame on Sassenach is absolutely stunning, and I actually kept this on for about four days, with very minimal chipping when I removed it!

You can find the listing for Sassenach on Dreamland Lacquer's website right here. The cost is $11.50 for a full-sized, 15 mL bottle. Noelie currently has the shop in Vacation Mode until January 11th, but you are still able to order; it will just be in pre-order status until she returns!

Please be sure to check out Dreamland Lacquer on social media!

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Fear: Swatch and Review

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Fear: Swatch and Review

*Purchased by Me*

Good morning! I hope that you had an amazing holiday, whatever you celebrate! Mine was pretty relaxed; I'm still kind of floating on Cloud Nine that I am officially finished my Master's Program!!!

Today, I am sharing with you a color from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. This color is named Fear, and it was a part of the June 2016 My Favourite Things Box, curated by Nail Whisperer. The theme for the June 2016 box was the movie Inside Out, and while I didn't purchase the entire box, I did buy Fear off of someone. Let's take a look at this beauty!

Fear is a medium purple, between an orchid and eggplant, with loads of holo sparkle and blue shimmer. The formula was on par with other CNCs that I have tried, and it applied smoothly and evenly. I was able to get Fear opaque in three thin coats, and it dried to a satin finish; my pictures show it with one layer of glossy top coat, under artificial daylight lighting.

I always love the complexity of Emily's polishes, and this baby is no exception!

I have not seen any updates regarding a new, current release from My Favourite Things, so I am unsure if these boxes are still continuing. I will update this post if any news arrives, though! In the meantime, be please be sure to keep up with Carpe Noctem Cosmetics on social media!

Tonic Polish Slitherin' and Light of Alexandria (Oops!): Swatches and Review

Tonic Polish Slitherin' and Light of Alexandria (Oops!): Swatches and Review

*Purchased by Me*

Happy Friday!! Tonight, I am sharing with you two polishes that I picked up from Tonic Polish's website a bit ago. One is still available on the site, and one is not, but I will list info after the swatches. Let's take a look!

Tonic Polish Slitherin'

Lindsey describes Slitherin' as a metallic multichrome that shifts from acid-chartreuse to green to turquoise with scattered holo and silver holo microglitters. Let me tell you; this baby is INTENSE!! But, intense in a good way! When I applied it, I didn't think that it was a shifter; but, in fact, it does shift to blue in lower lights, and it is beautiful! In brighter light, the bright green comes out, and the holo glitters make it pop. Slitherin' was opaque in two medium coats, and it dried quickly. My swatches are shown with glossy topcoat, under an artificial daylight bulb.

Slitherin' is still available in the Tonic Polish shop, and you can find it right here! The cost is $12.00 for a full-size, 15 mL bottle.

Tonic Polish Light of Alexandria (Oops!)

This next polish is one that was an Oops! batch that Lindsey made, and it was dubbed Light of Alexandria. This beauty is a pink base with lots and lots of blue shimmer, which may make the polish appear purple-toned in some lights. The shimmer is very apparent in person, and it absolutely glows!  I was able to get this opaque in three thin coats, which applied and dried evenly. Shown is with glossy top coat, under a daylight bulb.

Unfortunately, Light of Alexandria is no longer available in the shop. However, you can find her sister, Light of Lyra, right here; it costs $10.00 for a full size, 15 mL bottle.
